LWANDLE:Widow Thabsile Mbingo-Shongwe of eLwandle is being persecuted by family members(Umndeni) who grabbed her land after the death of the widow’s husband.
Reached for comments on Sunday, the widow confirmed that she was being persecuted by her in-laws who grabbed the land.
“Uyitfolephi wena lendzaba?.It’s true that they are grabbing my land, even my husband died while they were trying and making attempts to grab it”, she said.
The information was shared to this Swaziland News by a concerned family member who appealed to this publication to publish the story so the information could reach the Chief.
Efforts to reach Chief Nkamane of eLwandle proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
On another note, the concerned family member told this publication that, the land belonged to the widow and those family members who grabbed it,took advantage after the death of her husband.
“We are concerned because even the King warned against grabbing land from widows during Sibaya”, said the family member.
