MBABANE:Judge Titus Mlangeni says a court order must be respected even if it is believed to be wrong.

The Judge disclosed this when delivering a ruling on Monday where he ordered the re-arrest of Ncamase Investments (Pty) Ltd Director Issufomia Issufo Calu who owns the Mahhala Big Tree Complex.

Calu was arrested this month for alleged contempt of court after an order issued by the Judge but, he was subsequently released by Attorney General(AG) Sifiso Khumalo.

The contempt of court ninety(90) days sentencing came after the businessman allegedly defied a court order, directing him not to remove Galp Eswatini’s property from the rented premises at Big Tree Complex-Matsapha.

Calu is in a legal battle with Galp Eswatini after the company refused to supply him with fuel for his filling station, the businessman subsequently purchased the Complex and evicted Galp from his premises.

“This rule is so rigid that even if a court order is believed to be wrong, or unlawfully obtained, it has to be complied with, otherwise the conduct of legal proceedings would become chaotic,” said the Judge.
