MBABANE:Khanyakwezwe Dlamini, an elder brother to the late President of the Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF) Swaziland Nombulelo Motsa says as a family, they have reasonable suspicion that, his sister might have died of abuse at the hands of her husband Thulani Motsa and therefore, they demand an investigation into the death of their family member.

Dlamini is among the family members of the late EFF Swaziland President who contacted editor Zweli Martin Dlamini to demand an investigation into the death of the high profile political leader.

“We have suspicions here as a family regarding her death Nkhosi,kungamane kume lomgcwabo, we need answers. I went to Carolina on the day of her death after receiving a call and I was confused and in pain. Thulani Motsa(husband) called me and when I arrived there, he told me that Nombulelo has died after suffering from a stomach ache. Nangimbuta Motsa wangtjela kutsi ubulawe sisu ebusuku, kwatsi nakuphela lesisu, wase ukhala ngesinye, emvakwesinye wase sewutsi uva kushisa.Watsi nakatsi uyasukuma wawa wawela kule wardrobe kule-Guest House bebalele kuyo e-Carolina. He said he then transported her to hospital and he left her inside the hospital wayolala yena.Ungahamba njani ushiye umfati wakho agula simo sisibi?. When he came back he said doctors told him that, Nombulelo has died. Now, we are not convinced with this doctors report, nakatsi dokotela ukhandze kunengati esiswini but kutsiwa kwadzabuka umtsambo esinyeni, ingati ingaya njani esiswini? Lokusho kutsi ingati ichaza kutsi kunetimphawu kutsi abeshaywa”, said the elder brother.

Dlamini said, the allegations of abuse were known within the family but, Nombulelo would talk briefly and then keep quiet.

“She would talk briefly about the alleged abuse and then keep quiet because she was protecting her husband knowing that,we as her brothers, might take action against Motsa. Then kukhona lake wabashayela lakhaya Nombulelo wenta kungatsi uyafuna kukhuluma waphindze wathula. Thulani lona wake waba nemfati wase-Mangcongco ngatsi ligama lakhe bekungu-Cebsile. Wamshayisa ngemoto bekunetinkinga betikhona in his marriage but just when a meeting was about to held to discuss the issues with his wife, wamshayisa ngemoto. Today we have lost our family member under unclear circumstances”, he said.

On another note, Thulani Motsa, the husband to the deceased EFF Swaziland President released a statement on Wednesday morning under the EFF, blasting the editor for calling for, an investigation into the death of Nombulelo Motsa.

This comes after the editor posted on his online platform,calling for an investigation into the death of the EFF Swaziland President.

Like other political activists in the Mass Democratic Movement(MDM) who claim to be fighting for democracy but refuse to account amid allegations of wrongdoing,Motsa and his faction within the EFF Swaziland opted to release a statement and attack the editor for exposing the alleged abuse against Nombulelo Motsa.

The editor raised the allegations while Nombulelo Dlamini-Motsa was still alive after receiving information from credible sources.

Now family members are coming out openly to demand an investigation into the death of the EFF Swaziland leader.
