LOBAMBA:Indvuna yeMbali Princess Sakhizwe has applauded companies and individuals who assisted the King to cover costs that come with hosting the ongoing uMhlanga Reed Dance Ceremony.
Addressing the media on Thursday after cutting uMhlanga,the Princess said the cultural event has been, over the years,gradually improving in terms of prioritizing the welfare of the maidens. She highlighted the provision of portable showers and gifts provided to the young girls who attended the ceremony as part of the gradual improvement of the cultural event.
“All these things are costly and we really appreciate the support from those who presented ‘tetfulo’ to the King”, said the Indvuna yeMbali.
Private companies presented ‘tetfulo’ amounting to over R14million to the King this week in support of the ongoing uMhlanga ceremony.
The companies include Inyatsi Construction, Lidwala Insurance Company, Maloma Colliers, Embiven, the Clinic Group, Eswatini Mobile and the Eswatini Communications Commission(ESCCOM).
Others include the Pension Fund, BakaMamba, Provident Fund, Ministry of Home Affairs, Water Services Corporation, Asifuniseli Investments Ocean Fresh, Majikendleleni Da Costs, Food Chain and Prince Christantus Nkom Nkenta among others.
