MBABANE: Angel Dlamini(45) known as Inkhosikati LaGija has allegedly spent over ten(10) years without meeting her husband King Mswati.

LaGija is the same King’s wife who allegedly escaped from the Palace in May 2012 and IOL News, a South African publication,subsequently reported that,the Queen escaped amid allegations of physical abuse at the hands of King Mswati 

But royal insiders told this Swaziland News this week that, after iNkhosikati LaGija came back, Mswati first punished her by refusing to provide maintenance funds as a husband,she was allegedly allowed to stay in the Palace with no car and money.

“The Queen Mother said she must be allowed back ngoba wendza nasafuna kubuya kakhe akabuye but, the King didn’t want her back and he only agreed because he was respecting the word of his mother. He dumped her at the Palace, it’s over ten(10) years now and, the King seemed not prepared to forgive and share a pillow with her”, said the source very close to the matter.

AFP, an international News Agency, reported that, the Inkhosikati allegedly bought a house in Johannesburg before escaping from the royal family, hoping to start a new life.

King Mswati, an absolute Monarch, has been marred by allegations of physically abusing some of his wives.

Responding to this Swaziland News earlier, King’s Spokesperson Percy Simelane said he was only focusing on the King’s public image not his private matters.
