MANZINI:Themba Masuku, the former Deputy Prime Minister(DPM) who was among those who allegedly commanded the shooting and killing of innocent civilians during the unrest, emerged from the political wilderness on Friday to watch the premiere of the newly produced “BakaNgwane” film.
The film produced by Foreign Affairs Minister Pholile Dlamini-Shakantu was officially launched by King Mswati who was represented by Prince Senzangakhona, the event was held at the Julios Cinelux in Manzini.
Themba Masuku, the then Acting Prime Minister is currently in the political wilderness pending the appointment of other eMaBandla, he was ‘forgotten’ by the King when recently announcing other Governing Councils.
But the King is yet to announce the Boarder Restoration Committee(BRC), the Judicial Service Commission(JSC) and other Councils.
It remains to be seen if the ex-DPM who played a huge in protecting the institution of the Monarch by commanding the shooting and killing of innocent civilians will be remembered by the King for appointment.
