MLIBA:Happy Mkhatjwa, a nurse based at Mliba Nazarene Clinic is struggling to be assisted by the police after unknown people broke into her house and stole valuable items.
It has been disclosed that two(2) police detectives Charlton Mtsetfwa and Mhlonishwa ‘PP’ Dlamini, who were tasked with investigating the alleged house breaking and theft case, opted to ignore their duties and separately propose love to the nurse, this is contained in Whatsap messages where the police officers were allegedly communicating with the nurse.
In the messages, whenever the nurse ask for an update of the investigation, the police officers would tell her nothing has materialized but, quickly purpose love to her.
“Ngifuna kuva kutsi kusemtsetfweni yini lokutsi ngipote i-case yami kini, bese nine instead of working on it, you are busy pushing your agenda, nobabili naloMtsetfwa wakho”, said the nurse who was allegedly frustrated after seeking an update without any success.
Reached for comments on Sunday, the nurse confirmed that, the police failed to investigate her case but opted to propose love to her everytime she requested an update on the matter.
“I am very frustrated because it seems the two detectives want to sleep with me before investigating the case”, she said.
Police Spokesperson Superintendent Phindile Vilakati declined to comment about the matter.
Reacting to the subject matter, former Mkhiweni Member of Parliament(MP) Maqhawe Mavuso who was called by this Swaziland News to verify the identity of the police officers as Mliba Police Station is under his Inkhundla said, she also spoke to another officer who confirmed that such, “is happening” within the police service.
“It’s true, I’ve spoken to another police officer at Mliba who thanked you for touching on this matter. He said it’s a common thing in the police service for officers to sleep with female complainants who are desperate to have their cases investigated. The officer said it’s not only happening at Mliba but almost all the Police Stations”, said the former MP.
