Petros Mdluli’s family of Gege-Mbondzela ‘terrorized’ by heavy rains after Eswatini Government’s Taiwan investors demolished houses.

MBONDZELA:Petros Mdluli’s family here at Gege-Mbondzela is being ‘terrorized’ by heavy rains after Taiwan investors linked to the eSwatini Government demolished houses.

Mdluli’s family was among residents who had their homes destroyed, Natural Resources Minister Prince Lonkhokhela and Tinkhundla Minister Sikhumbuzo Dlamini later visited the area after political parties that include the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO), Communist Party of Swaziland(CPS) and Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF) Swaziland staged a series of protests that stopped the evictions.

The Ministers promised the residents Government and subsequently disappeared, leaving them in an extremely vulnerable situation.

Natural Resources Minister Prince Lonkhokhela declined to comment.

Speaking to this Swaziland News on Friday evening, Senator Dlamini, the Deputy President of the Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF) Swaziland and land rights activist confirmed that, the Mdluli family “is living under extremely cold conditions” after the demolition of houses.

”The pictures you received reflects the true situation of what is happening there as we speak”, said the EFF Swaziland Deputy President when speaking to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini.

Taiwan capitalists allegedly supported by the eSwatini Government demolished houses belonging to the Gege-Mbondzela residents.
