REVEALED:Prime Minister Russell Dlamini’s bodyguard Constable France who shot and killed his wife before committing suicide developed anger after killing civilians during unrest.

MBABANE:Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini’s bodyguard Constable France Dlamini who shoot and killed his wife Nomfundo Sihlongonyane last week, was allegedly among the police officers who killed dozens of civilians during the recent political unrest.

A close relative told this Swaziland News on Wednesday that, Dlamini was transferred from Sigodvweni Police Station to Mbabane during the unrest amid fears that, he might be killed by Solidarity Forces as his picture appeared where police officers were terrorizing and killing civilians.

“After the political unrest, he developed anger and even in the midst of a minor argument he would just threaten to shoot and kill. We recently travelled with him to Mozambique as relatives and while drinking,one of us commented about the police brutality. Watsi sesikhulume lani ngemsebenti wakhe utawusuke adubule yena. So he was like that ever since he participated in the shooting of civilians during the unrest, he would just threaten to shoot and kill”, said the relative.

Senior Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson declined to comment.

On another note, the Prime Minister’s bodyguard is alleged to have shoot and killed his wife after a minor argument.

More police officers are committing suicide and killing their partners, on Wednesday evening, a police shot and killed himself within the Mbabane Police Post.
