Saturday, 5th October, 2024

MBABANE:Prime Minister(PM) Russell Mmiso Dlamini says, he always feel good when he read Swaziland News articles written by editor Zweli Martin Dlamini, criticizing the King as this will ensure that, no one within royalty including the King himself will question him for the consistent negative publicity.

The PM allegedly uttered these sentiments in the corridors in Cabinet on or around 10th September 2024, the information reached this publication immediately on the same day but this publication delayed publishing an article on the subject matter as the PM could have remembered who he was speaking to.

“Kute intfo lengichaza nga-Zwemart nasabhala kabi nangaleNkhosi, phela loko kwenta kutsi kungabi ngatsi ngimi ngedvwa nje sigangi lesibhalwako(meaning: I am always happy to see him write about the King because that would mean I will not be perceived alone as corrupt). No one will then question me about why I’m always receiving negative publicity”, the PM allegedly said.

The Prime Minister declined to comment about the matter.

On another note, Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini has been involved in alleged series of corruption scandals, he allegedly failed to account for about R210million while working as the then Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the National Disaster Management Agency(NDMA), this is contained in the report of the Auditor General(AG).

The PM then allegedly captured the Anti Corruption Commission(ACC) and plotted to use it in ousting Chief Justice(CJ) Bheki Maphalala, Chairman of Civil Service Commission(CSC) lawyer Simanga Mamba and Auditor General(AG) Timothy Matsebula. He then allegedly held a series of meetings with SwaziPharm Director Kareem Ashraff seeking to protect the powerful businessman who allegedly looted billions public funds within the Ministry of Health resulting to the shortage of drugs in public hospitals.

But his latest scandal was that of visiting controversial investor Mobeen Meldi, seeking to push a controversial biscuits factory deal.

Electronic recordings of the PM from the State Intelligence Unit landed at the hands of this Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini where he was speaking about various issues including confirming that, he captured the Editors Forum and converted Swazi Observer editor Mbongeni Mbingo to be his spy.
