King Mswati urged graduates to be patient amid scarcity of jobs, today I choose analyze the Mswati’s speech on the other angle based on the high unemployment situation in the country.
Well,I could have criticized the King but I choose to write a motivational article to avoid distortion perhaps in the process, I would be contextualizing the King’s speech.
Firstly, graduates must understand that, after being empowered with education you can create your own job instead of looking for a job.
Mswati likes business, I am sure even if he not crowned as a King, he was going to strive in business because in most of his speeches, he speaks about entrepreneurship yet our education system was centralized on producing graduates who will look for employment.
Now, the situation in this country suggests that, it’s very difficult to secure a job, it’s true the Tinkhundla regime contributed to this but, in everything there’s a negative and a positive.
Graduates must just embark on entrepreneurship and create jobs but, they cannot succeed without Government support and an enabling environment.
The United Nations Development Program(UNDP) Eswatini Youth Empowerment Program(EYEP) is one of the programs that should be supported by Government and the private sector, these graduates need mentorship and UNDP has been doing well in this regard.
But graduates must know that, this is the beginning of the journey of life, the King previously advised graduates to grab all available employment opportunities even if those opportunities does not fall under their qualifications and I agree with the King on this.
Graduates must use other opportunities as their step ladder to achieve their goals, life is a journey.

OPINION:New UNESWA graduates must interpret King’s speech positively as the journey of life begins, embark on entrepreneurship.
