MBABANE:Alpheous Nxumalo, the eSwatini Government who allegedly paraded a two hundred thousand Rands(R200,000.00) reward to anyone who will kill or abduct eSwatini main opposition leader Mlungisi Makhanya, the President of the People’s United Democratic Movement(PUDEMO) has now summersaulted, denying the allegations suggesting that, the State is responsible for Makhanya’s alleged poisoning.
Speaking to the Times of eSwatini this week, the Government Spokesperson said if the State wanted to kill Makhanya he wouldn’t have survived as the State does not miss the target.
“Finally, the attempts to end Mlungisi Makhanya’s life does not involve the Government of Eswatini because first and foremost, if there’s any decision to neutralize Makhanya or anybody for that matter, he could not have been missed at all”, said the Government Spokesperson who did not specify how many political activists were killed by the State where Government did not miss the target.
Mlungisi Makhanya, the eSwatini main opposition leader was allegedly poisoned by a close comrade linked to State agents, an alleged State sponsored social media campaign was subsequently activated to scandalize him while he was in hospital fighting for his life.
PUDEMO accuses the eSwatini State agents of using self-confessed suspect Sifiso ‘Smallz’ Mahlangu to poison the PUDEMO leader.
