LOBAMBA:Sicelo ‘KhungaNkhosi’ Dlamini, the Mayiwane Member of Parliament(MP) is highly expected to move another Parliament motion, this time he “wants Public Service Minister Mabulala Maseko to explain why qualified teachers are employed on contracts and paid peanuts under B2 instead of C3.
The motion is highly expected to be supported or seconded by Welcome Dlamini,the Mbabane East Member of Parliament, as per an Order Paper in possession of this Swaziland News.
“Could the Hon. Minister for Public Service explain to the Honorable House what informed the decision to place qualified contract teachers on B2 whereas they should be placed on C3, when is that abnormality going to be fixed as it has brought emotional stress to the teachers.The Honorable Minister must table the report within 7 days after the adoption of this motion by the House”, reads the Order Paper in part.
The motion demanding accountability from Government regarding the plight of teachers comes shortly after the same MP, a former police officer, moved a motion demanding the implementing of Phase two(II), a program that was Gazetted to increase salaries for junior police officers, soldiers and Correctional Services officers.
