MBABANE:Neal Rijikernberg, the Minister of Finance has advised against applying for a loan to start a business but instead,the idea or concept must generate the revenue.
Speaking on his Finance-in-Focus online platform this week, the Minister who “is a successful businessman” said, a loan should be considered to grow, not to start a business.
“If you are thinking of starting something,rather try it out without a loan even if it’s small.Once you approve the concept, then go and take a loan rather than taking a loan and then battle to pay it back because the concept of the business wasn’t sound”, said the Finance Minister.
The Finance-in-Focus is an informative online program where the Minister lecturers the Nation about finances including establishing a business.
