MBABANE:Nathie Dlamini, the Business Eswatini Chief Executive Officer(CEO) says the recent meeting with Henrik Franklin, the new United Nations Development Program(UNDP) Resident Representative will strengthen the already existing collaboration between the two(2) organizations.
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Monday, the CEO said, while the meeting was only meant to welcome the new UNDP boss, it also presented an opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions about ongoing and future collaborations between Business Eswatini and UNDP.
“Business Eswatini (BE) was honored to pay a courtesy call to Mr. Henrik Franklin, the newly appointed United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative, at the Eswatini Country Office. While the primary purpose of the meeting was to extend a warm welcome to Mr. Franklin, it also provided an opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions about ongoing and future collaborations between BE and the UNDP.The conversation centered on identifying fresh avenues of synergy that will enhance our efforts to advance inclusive economic growth, particularly through initiatives aimed at empowering businesses across Eswatini. Both organizations recognize the critical role of women’s economic empowerment and SME development in driving sustainable development, areas in which BE and the UNDP have already established a strong foundation”, he said.
Dlamini said the partnership that was built on years of collaboration, will continue to flourish and “holds immense potential for future innovation” and impact.
“As the voice of business in Eswatini, BE remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering a dynamic and resilient business environment, aligned with our core values. By strengthening our partnership with the UNDP, we are poised to create even greater opportunities for local businesses to thrive, contributing to a more equitable and prosperous future for all”, he said.
