MBABANE: The police in collaboration with the army will stage roadblocks and raid homes in Matsamo and surrounding areas next week, State Intelligence sources told this Swaziland News this week.
The operation is highly expected to start on Thursday until Sunday and the sources alleged that, this “is part of the “Operation Sikhona” launched by National Commissioner of Police Vusi Manoma Masango that seeks to destroy dagga” and minimize crime in the Hhohho Region.
“We will also monitor the informal crossing at Matsamo working with the soldiers there”, said the State Intelligence source.
Senior Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson had not responded at the time of compiling this report.
On another note, National Commissioner of Police Vusi Masango recently launched “Operation Sikhona” in the Hhohho region, he deployed police to destroy dagga belonging to ordinary citizens.
