MBABANE:Advocate Bashni Rowjee who represented former South African President Jacob Zuma in the Public Prosecutor’s case, is among the team of Advocates and lawyers representing editor Zweli Martin Dlamini and this Swaziland News in the matter with King Mswati and the eSwatini Government.
The editor’s legal team that won the defamation case at the Mpumalanga High Court is led by Senior Advocate Myron Dewrance, Mswati subsequently filed an appeal with the South African Supreme Court of Appeal(SCA) and the matter might be heard soon.
The King including his Government represented by the then Acting Prime Minister Themba Masuku, was demanding to be given seven(7) days before responding to questionnaires, however, the editor vigorously opposed that saying, this was a systematic way to delay the dissemination of news and collapse the publication.
The Government further accused the editor of writing defamatory articles against Masuku, royal family members and the King.
