MBABANE:Moses Vilakati, the former Minister of Agriculture and Cooperative has been endorsed by the eSwatini Government to contest for the African Union(AU) Agriculture Rural Development, Blue Economy and Sustainable Environment(ARBE) tenable in Addis Ababa.
Vilakati served as a Cabinet Minister in eSwatini for two(2) terms after winning elections at Ntontozi Inkhundla, he is also the former Minister of Tourism and Environmental Affairs and if elected for the AU top position, he will report to the AU Chairperson.
Eswatini has produced leaders who occupied positions in the African continent and other international reputable organizations.
This include former Commissioner General of the Eswatini Revenue Service(ERS) Dumisani Masilela who is now with the International Monetary Fund(IMF), lawyer Nosmilo Vilakati who is attached to the International Criminal Court(ICC) Prosecution team, former Deputy Prime Minister(DPM) Themba Masuku(IMF) and the late Prime Minister Dr Sibusiso Barnabas Dlamini who once worked for the IMF.
