MANZINI: This past weekend saw an electrifying showcase of talent as three champions were crowned in the INSTACASH tournaments,including two thrilling editions of the Manzini Independent League Cup and one remarkable Shiselweni FA Cup match.

On Saturday, Galacticos FC emerged victorious in the Mankayane edition of the INSTACASH Manzini Independent League Cup, overcoming ASA United in a nail-biting final that was decided by penalties after a tense 1-1 draw. 

Galacticos showcased their nerve, winning 4-1 on penalties to secure the coveted title.

The excitement continued on Sunday as Barcelona, based in Mliba, claimed the Croydon champions title of the INSTACASH Manzini League Cup. 

After a gripping encounter against Croydon United, which ended 1-1 after regular time, Barcelona triumphed in the penalty shootout, winning 6-5 to claim the championship.

Meanwhile, in the ongoing INSTACASH Shiselweni FA Cup, XI Peace FC made their mark by defeating Thuzini City Stars in a tense finale. 

After a fierce 1-1 regulation time, XI Peace FC held their composure in the penalty shootout, clinching the championship 5-4.

All three winning teams received new soccer jerseys, prize money, trophies, and gold medals, generously provided by co-sponsors INSTACASH, eBet, and Orchard Insurance.

Meanwhile, participating leagues under the INSTACASH Manzini League Cup scheduled for the coming weekend have until 10 am on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, to submit their qualifying forms. The leagues are Mahlangatja, Mangcongco, Ngculwini, and Sigcineni.

This year’s INSTACASH tournaments feature the top four teams from each league, competing based on the number of INSTACASH customers who signed up for the member-only Funeral Cover plan. 

The plan offers a premium of E15 per month and pays beneficiaries E10,000 in the event of a policyholder’s demise.
