BIGBEND:Samson Sithole, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Eswatini Water and Agricultural Development Enterprise(ESWADE) says the ongoing delivery of farming inputs to residents, is meant to empower them realize the value for money through bulk purchasing.
Speaking to this Swaziland News on Monday, the CEO said the project also seeks to,among others, ensure timely access to quality production inputs and services while increasing maize production on Eswatini Nation Land(ENL).
“Assist farmers to realise value for money through price negotiations and bulk purchasing.Increasing maize production & productivity of ENL farmers.De-risking and provision of enabling environment for ENL farmers”, said the CEO when asked to comment about the ongoing delivery of the farming inputs.
On another note, the project was meant to restore livelihoods for families impacted by the Mkhondvo-Ngwavuma Water Augmentation Project (MNWAP),
Packages delivered include fertilizers, seeds, LAN, and pesticides, the distribution began on Wednesday in Makhava, Thezane, Mashekesheni, and Mphakeni.
More families in Mphelamandla, Mgunyeni, KaLiba, and Elulakeni will receive their packages this week.
