MBABANE:Former Chairperson of the Economic Freedom Fighters(EFF) Advocate Dali Mpofu has resigned from the political organization to join Jacob Zuma’s uMkhonto weSizwe(MK) party, IOL News reported on Thursday.
In an interview on SABC Morning Live, Mpofu said the GNU was a betrayal to the cause of liberating South Africa. He said that he was off the view that the only party that represents his own passion for national unity is the MK Party .
“The MK Party has been true to fostering unity. Total black and progressive unity and I feel total liberation would be achieved through MK Party”, said the Advocate as quoted by IOL News.
Other senior members of the EFF who resigned to join MK party include former Public Prosecutor Busisiwe Mkhwebane, ex-EFF Member of Parliament(MP) Mzwandile Manyi and former Deputy President Floyd Shivambu.
