DEPUTY SPEAKER MADALA MHLANGA:Parliament Select Committee vigorously working on Ecsponent R340million refunds for members of the public, Finance Minister’s proposal might be considered.

MBABANE:Madala Mhlanga,the Deputy Speaker and Chairman of the R340million Ecsponent Select Committee says, Parliament “is vigorously working towards ensuring that, members of the public are refunded their monies”.

Speaking to this Swaziland News on Sunday morning when asked to share his views on Finance Minister Neal Rijikernberg’s proposal seeking to refund members of the public their monies, the Deputy Speaker confirmed that, the Committee “is nearly completing the investigation” and would make recommendations and table a report to the House.

“The Finance Minister was sharing his opinion on how he thinks this matter could be resolved and it would help if all stakeholders are reaching an agreement on what needs to be done, it’s a valid opinion that might be considered. We are working on it Nkhosi and we will soon table a report before the House”, said the Deputy Speaker.

It has been reported by this publication that, Dave Van Niekerk, the R340million Escponent ‘suspect’ recently met Finance Minister Neal Rijikernberg and Central Bank Governor Dr Phil Mnisi to discuss among others,possible ways to refund members of the public their monies.
