Deputy Prime Minister(DPM) Thuli Dladla grabs Disaster Management tents from Khubutha and Mtsambama residents,R32million meant to compensate hailstorm victims disappears.

KHUBUTHA:Thulisile Dladla,the Deputy Prime Minister(DPM) has grabbed National Disaster Management Agency(NDMA) tents from residents of Khubutha and Mtsambama without compensating them after the recent storms.

The tents were grabbed last week by vehicles from the Disaster Management Agency, no explanation was given to the residents by the officials from the DPM office.

It has been disclosed that, Government budgeted R32million to assist the hailstorm victims but,the money never reached the affected citizens across the country.

Other areas affected by the hailstorm include Ngculwini and communities under Mtfongwaneni Inkhundla.

When this Swaziland News contacted the DPM earlier, she promised to assist the residents by making a follow-up on the matter regarding the compensation, however,she subsequently disappeared.

“I will convey message to NDMA who was registering the affected homesteads”,said the Deputy Prime Minister(DPM) when responding to editor Zweli Martin Dlamini.

Thousands of hailstorm and the recent wildfires victims were allegedly promised assistance by Government through the DPM Office but as expected, nothing materialized.
