MBABANE:Vusi Manoma Masango, the National Commissioner of Police has urged Correctional Services Commissioner General Phindile Lomakhosini Dlamini to prepare enough space in the prison as more cyber “facata” alleged criminals are yet to be arrested.
The National Commissioner was speaking on Thursday during the launch of the Festive Season “Fraud Awareness Campaign” organized by the Eswatini Bankers Association(EBA), the event was held at the Royal Villas Ezulwini.
“As we speak we have four(4) victims of “facata” and the loss is E143,000.00, this shows that we still have a lot of these criminals roaming around. We are saying to them “kute imphunga yehlatsi”. Sitababamba one by one”, said the National Commissioner.
Dozens of “facata” alleged criminals have been arrested by the police, the suspects stand accused of defrauding members of the public through Mobile Money(MoMo) among others fraud tactics.
