KWALUSENI:University of Eswatini(UNESWA) Lecturers have received their salaries, Dr. Mduduzi Shongwe, the Secretary General Association of Lecturers, Academic and Administrative Personnel(ALAAP) confirmed to this Swaziland News on Wednesday afternoon.
Lecturers through their Union had written to the Acting Registrar Richard Masuku, informing Administrators of the institution of higher learning, that they won’t report for duty if their salaries “are not paid” by Tuesday midnight and this, was in response to a memo from the Acting Registrar informing them that their salaries would be delayed once again.
The State owned University has been facing financial challenges for some time now, Acting Registrar Richard Masuku and the Lecturers Union blamed Government for delaying to release scholarships for students and further pay a subvention for the institution in time.
