MBABANE: South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol said on Tuesday that he will rebuild a free and democratic country through martial law, Aljazeera reported on Tuesday.
“To safeguard a liberal South Korea from the threats posed by North Korea’s communist forces and to eliminate antistate elements,…I hereby declare emergency martial law,” the President said in a televised address.
The President accused the opposition of working with what he described as anti-State elements.
