Mbabane Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Gciniwe Fakudze raids supermarkets and grocery shops in search for expired food, says operation meant to protect consumers.

MBABANE:Gciniwe Fakudze, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Mbabane Manicipality raided supermarkets and grocery shops in search for expiry food.

Addressing a press conference on Tuesday after the raiding, the CEO said the operation was meant to protect consumers this Festive Season.

“As you might be aware, issues of food health are dominating the public discourse even in South Africa, this was meant to protect consumers”, she said.
