LOBAMBA:Paul Dlamini, the Chairman of Liqoqo, the King’s Advisory Council has clarified that eKutsimuleni residents who are alleged members of the People’s United Democratic Party(PUDEMO) won’t be discriminated because of their political affiliation.

This comes after political and social justice activist Hynd Shongwe and his family members reported eKutsimuleni Indvuna Rogers Mamba and the entire uMphakatsi to Liqoqo, for allegedly grabbing land belonging to the Shongwe family.

Khulekani Shongwe later accused the Liqoqo Chairman of being bias against them based on their political affiliation or views.

Ekutsimuleni Indvuna Rogers Mamba is alleged to have told the King’s Advisory Council that, “the Shongwe family is dominated by PUDEMO members in an effort to use politics with an alleged intention to unjustly influence Liqoqo in the matter”.

Responding to this Swaziland News on Friday morning, the Liqoqo Chairman denied these allegations but urged the aggrieved Shongwe family to approach the Secretary of the King’s Advisory Council if indeed such happened.

“Sivusela wena Dlamini, firstly my apologies for the late response.Nkhosi,I’m not aware of such, however, if indeed true tell them to contact the Secretary who would then advise me accordingly.Otherwise, we treat all EmaSwati equal. Kindest Regards”, said the Chairman of the King’s Advisory Council in a message sent to this journalist.

As reported by this Swaziland News earlier, eKutsimuleni Indvuna Rogers Mamba “is at loggerheads with the Shongwe family after he allegedly grabbed their land with an alleged intention to sell it”.

On another note, Hynd Shongwe, a elder of the Shongwe family told this publication that, they have spoken to their brother Khulekani Shongwe who rushed to speak to the Swaziland News about a matter “that is before Liqoqo”.

“As the elder of the family,I can confirm that our matter is being handled by Liqoqo and, it was wrong for my brother Khulekani Shongwe to then rush to the Swaziland News to speak about the same matter that is before the King’s Advisory Council and went as far as accusing the Chairman of being bias. The matter is being presided over and so far, we are happy with the proceedings”,he said.
