EZULWINI:Muzi Siyaya,the Managing Director of Ubombo Sugar Limited has urged MTN Eswatini business clients to adopt leadership principles in order to achieve their goals.

The Managing Director was addressing an MTN Business Seminar organized for the mobile company’s business clients this week at Ezulwini,he was the Guest Speaker.

“The leadership challenge lies in the balance between offering immediate solutions and allowing others to find their own. When a leader provides an answer too quickly, it becomes their solution; but when team members discover the solution themselves,it becomes their own truth.Nadella’s leadership at Microsoft illustrates this principle, as he transformed the company by aligning systems, people, and processes gradually, without alienating his team.He demonstrated how to lead both by guiding the strategy and by creating an environment where everyone could evolve with the vision.This principle holds true in any organization”, he said.

The Managing Director said as leader, having a clear vision “is not enough particularly if the team hasn’t reached the same conclusion” adding that, pushing them too aggressively could create distance. 

“The challenge is not in having the right answers, but in helping others arrive at those answers in their own time.A key difficulty for leaders adopting a "lead from behind" approach is resisting the impulse to act swiftly and decisively.In high-pressure situations, the instinct to step in and take charge can be strong, but this risks alienating the team by preventing them from arriving at their own decisions. By leading from behind, leaders give space for those who may struggle to keep up or question the direction”, said the Managing Director.
