MBABANE:Eswatini is not ready to eradicate the new Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV), a new virus similar to COVID-19 that has since has erupted in China, Mayibongwe Masangwane, the Secretary General of the Swaziland Democratic Nurses Union(SWADNU) told this Swaziland News on Monday.
The virus is spreading quickly and impacting China’s health care system.
“We are not ready amid the shortage of drugs in public hospitals and shortage of human resources”, said the Secretary General of the Nurses Union.
Efforts to reach Health Minister Mduduzi Matsebula proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
Eswatini is facing a health crisis, dozens might die should the Government fail to provide drugs in public hospitals.
