MBABANE:John Mngomezulu, the Tibiyo TakaNgwane Manager in the Managing Director’s Office allegedly defrauded high profile people including royal family members over R10million in a ‘non-existing’ investment deal.
It has been disclosed that, Mngomezulu allegedly abused Inkhosikati Sibonelo Mngomezulu-LaMbikiza’s name saying he was related to her, he then convinced the late Prince Sihlangusemphi to invest R2million and his health condition worsened after he discovered that, Mngomezulu “has defrauded him”.
Other victims who were allegedly defrauded include Prince Guduza(R4million), Princess Sibahle(R3million) and other high profile emaSwati who were allegedly defrauded between R6million and R4million.
“We are concerned because he is continuing with this and other high profile people might believe him are vulnerable to be defrauded.When he started this he said he was working with Blackstone, an investment entity in the United States but our monies disappeared. Uboke sewutfole na-De-Souza kumbe naye angakhuluma, usicedzile lomuntfu lona”, said a high profile person who was among those who were allegedly defrauded.
Efforts to reach United Holdings boss Philip DeSouza proved unsuccessful at the time of compiling this report.
Reached for comments by this Swaziland News on Monday evening, John Mngomezulu, the Manager in the Tibiyo TakaNgwane Managing Director’s Office first paused for a moment, he then said;
“Kodvwa ngingatsini nje?, hhayi no comment”.
On another note, the Tibiyo Manager is alleged to be continuing with the alleged fraud by collecting the millions from unsuspecting businesspeople and other high profile people who “trust his proximity” with Inkhosikati Sibonelo Mngomezulu.
“Inkhosikati LaMbikiza is originally from South Africa and the Queen is eager to have more relatives in the country. So John was able to introduce himself as a Mngomezulu and was warmly welcomed by the Inkhosikati who treated him as a brother.He defrauded us and that was when we started to trace if indeed he is related to the Inkhosikati only to find that it’s the same surname”,said one of the victims.
