New Mozambique President pledges to take advice from King Mswati and be guided by other SADC Heads of State, Spokesperson Percy Simelane says desire to learn from others demonstrates wisdom.

MBABANE:Daniel Chapo, the newly elected Mozambique President has pledged to take advice from King Mswati of the neighboring eSwatini and, other Heads of State in the Southern African Development Community(SADC) region.

Chapo of the ruling Mozambique Liberation Front(FRELIMO) was sworn-in on Wednesday after winning the disputed elections as confirmed by the Constitutional Council following an appeal by the opposition, he pledged to work and be guided by SADC Heads of State including the eSwatini King.

Mswati was represented by Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini during the inauguration of the South-eastern country’s new President.

Reached for comments by this Swaziland News on Thursday,King Mswati’s Spokesperson Percy Simelane applauded the new Mozambique President for demonstrating willingness to learn from other Heads of State.

“The proof of wisdom is the desire to learn from even children. To us,his take-off looks brilliant if he is prepared to learn from others.We want to believe he is fully aware that becoming a President of a Nation is not at all about elevetion to a higher  position but a responsibility”, said the King’s Spokesperson.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa was also present during the inauguration of the new Mozambique President.
