It is surprising to note that, some of Mswati’s children, wives, brothers and sisters whom I had the privilege to speak to in my line of duty as a journalist, are respectful and have a proper way to address human beings only for those who work as servants of the King to speak with arrogance when addressing the public.
Christopher Gamedze, the Finance Officer in the King’s Office responded with arrogance when asked by Ingatja about part of the missing R33million Incwala allowances known as “Imbasha” saying,he was resting with his family and therefore, he must not be disturbed.
So we now have alleged corrupt thieves in this country who steal public funds and then, warn victims meant to benefit from these State monies, not to disturb them?.
Is this a country of a corrupt jungle where the powerful consume the powerless including their resources with impunity?.
Even though we refer to the R33million as the “King’s gift for emajaha”, let me remind Christopher Gamedze that the missing monies were sourced from public coffers, we are being respectful and diplomatic to refer to this money as the ‘King’s gift’, these are taxpayers monies.
Christopher Gamedze is an alleged corrupt arrogant thief even King’s Office Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Chief Mgwagwa Gamedze has a proper and respectful language when addressing people, “bantfu bayahlonishwa noma ngabe uyeva kutsi sewebe kakhulu sewunemali lenyenti”, you must respect people.
The money was released by the King to benefit Ingatja and in siSwati or our culture, “the King is referred to as the mouth that speaks no lies” but to these Ingatja, some who were hoping to buy school uniform, Gamedze and his gang of thieves within the King’s Office has paraded King Mswati as an outright lier.
In 1998 I attended Incwala at Ludzidzini Palace, some members of the regiments complained that, they found twenty Rands(R20.00) or thirty Rands(R30.00) as ‘Imbasha’ in their brown envelopes instead of forty Rands(R40.00), at the time,Imbasha was distributed in brown envelopes.
I remember one Indvuna saying “nawukhandza ishoda lemali ungabi ukhuluma uvele ukhute liBayethe ngoba lena yiMbasha”, the stealing of the King’s money’ meant to benefit emaButfo has been going on for years without any accountability.
Now, the money has been increased to one thousand Rands(R1000.00) some receive two thousand Rands(R2000.00) or more depending on their seniority within the traditional circles.
But King’s Office Finance Officer Christopher Gamedze and his corrupt syndicate opted to register their relatives and friends who never attended Incwala and then, used their mobile money cellphone numbers to steal the taxpayers money.
This corruption where the little monies that should be benefiting the poor are stolen by the rich and powerful has reached an alarming level in this country.
It’s a pity that King Mswati won’t discipline his alleged corrupt thieves despite this clear act of corruption, Christopher Gamedze demonstrated arrogance when telling Ingatja not to disturb him at night.
So these thieves next to Mswati want to steal public funds and then tell emaSwati not to disturb them?. What a shame!!!

King’s Office Finance Officer Christopher Gamedze.
