It’s clear now that,the Tinkhundla undemocratic regime is a ‘political ghost’ that long died or collapsed but, only exists in the world of imagination.
As a result, a mere signature by newly inaugurated United States(US) President Donald Trump has grounded the entire country ruled by a parasite regime with no regard for the lives of the ordinary emaSwati.
In this country, emaSwati are taxed but the country’s health system is funded by foreign donors, where does the taxes paid by emaSwati go?.
King Mswati must be ashamed of himself for collapsing this country, it is actually his lavish lifestyle or wasteful expenditure that collapsed this country, not to mention the corruption under a culture of impunity in the public administration.
The billions from foreign donors are subject to taxation through Value Added Tax(VAT) when Non Governmental Organizations(NGOs) procure services, Pay as You Earn(PAYE) paid by the thousands of workers and, Corporate Tax paid by companies who provide services to the NGOs.
This means, the civil society funded by donors, contributes to the public coffers through tax but,those monies are benefiting King Mswati and his corrupt loyalists in the public administration.
Now,Health Minister Mduduzi Matsebula has released a statement confirming that the Executive Order signed by US President Donald Trump will affect even HIV/AIDS prevention programs and, this is an indication that, this regime does not value the lives of emaSwati.
HIV/AIDS is a very sensitive treatment that should be funded by the State, donors can assist but, as a country we cannot rely on foreign donors for such sensitive treatment.
Whether one is negative or positive, that person is affected by HIV because we are related in this country, King Mswati’s Government must explain why emaSwati who pay tax ended up relying on foreign funding for such sensitive treatment.
