MBABANE:The United Nations(UN) successfully collaborated with Business Eswatini in hosting the high-level engagement meeting with the private sector that seeks to shape the UN-eSwatini Government Cooperation Framework(2026-2030).
The event was held at the Business Eswatini Offices in Mbabane on Thursday and was attended by, among others, UN Eswatini Resident Coordinator George Wachira,Eswatini Bankers Association(EBA) President and Standard Bank Chief Executive Mvuselelo Fakudze,Henrik Franklin, the United Nations Development Program(UNDP)Resident Representative, Business Eswatini CEO Nathie Dlamini, Business Federation of Eswatini President Thulisile Dladla, Business Women Eswatini Chairperson Tokky Hou and Ben Simelane, the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Federation of Eswatini Business Community(FESBC).
On another note,the event was meant to, among others, enhance and expand Private Sector-UN engagement while focusing on the strategic priorities, outcomes, and outputs that will form or establish the foundation of the new Cooperation Framework(CF).
The framework will serve as the primary strategic document guiding the UN’s collective efforts and development partnership with Eswatini, shaping the programmes of various UN agencies.
