MBABANE:Nathie Dlamini,the Business Eswatini Chief Executive Officer(CEO) has applauded Finance Minister Neal Rijikernberg for what he described as a National Budget demonstrating commitment to fiscal discipline.
In a brief statement sent to this Swaziland News, the business organization said, the economic landscape locally, regionally and internationally “is peppered with too many variables” with too few ‘constants’, thereby making it even harder to plan for the future.
“We therefore commend the government’s commitment to fiscal discipline, growth-oriented capital expenditure, and efforts to address critical socio-economic challenges.In these unpredictable times BE feels government must to stick to the ‘knitting’ whilst closely monitoring the direction of geopolitical headwinds currently sweeping across the globe.In times like these fiscal discipline and good stewardship of national resources should not be optional,” he said.
Dlamini then promised to issue a full statement after the “business organization has completed the analyses of the National Budget Speech”.
