MBABANE:The Industrial Court has issued a judgement directing Government to pay firefighters their overtime allowances before the end of July 2025.

The matter that was previously decided by the High Court, was heard by the Industrial Court last week after Government defied the previous order.

Eswatini is an absolute Monarchy, court orders that do not favor the Government, are consistently or systematically defied through endless reviews.

The firefighters have been fighting for their overtime allowances for years and despite various orders issued by both the High Court and Industrial Court, Government has been refusing to release the money.
