LOBAMBA:Alec Lushaba, the Hhukwini Member of Parliament(MP) says, some reckless decisions taken by Government officials undermines human rights, resulting to people hating the Tinkhundla system and the country’s authorities.

The MP shared these sentiments in Parliament on Friday when addressing Agriculture Minister Mandla Tshauke regarding the issue of the Ministry of Agriculture employees who were unlawfully dismissed.

“As Parliament, we might hold this budget should you fail to address this issue. You subjected emaSwati to a painful situation, simo longeke kwawena uphile ngaphansi kwaso.Ningasoneli lelive le-Ngwenyama”, he said.

Reached for comments, one of the affected Ministry of Agriculture employees, thanked the Hhukwini MP for raising their plight adding that, they lobbied Parliament to speak on their behalf.

“We were dismissed after Government handed over the tractors we were driving and, other resources that we were using to the National Maize Corporation(NMC). The mastermind behind all this was the Public Service Principal Secretary(PS) Sipho Tsabedze who was subsequently dismissed for allegedly forging his date of birth to avoid retirement. Our salaries were then stopped and as we speak, we are financially struggling, sifile yindlala. We ran to Parliament to narrate our plight and, we are happy to see the MP raising this issue as per his earlier promise,” said the dismissed employee.
