MBABANE:King Mswati toured and handed over the newly opened Ndzevane Textile Factory to residents of the Lubombo region, the project that was facilitated by the Ministry of Commerce through the Eswatini Investments and Promotion Authority(EIPA), created one thousand(1000) jobs for emaSwati.
"Such projects come with facilities such as water and sanitation as well as electricity, thereby benefitting the communities around them as they are able to access these services at lower costs. We now hand over this project to the community,” said the King as quoted by Government online platforms.
Dr Thambo Gina, the Minister of Economic Planning and Development, Commerce Minister Mancoba Khumalo, Defense Principal Secretary(PS) Prince Sicalo, appointed Member of Parliament(MP) Prince Lindani, Liqoqo member Prince Bandzile and EIPA Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Sibani Mngometulu were also present when the King handed over the new textile project on Tuesday.
Other high profile people who were present include Senate President Lindiwe Gwebu-Dlamini, Foreign Minister Pholile Dlamini-Shakantu, Tourism Minister Jane Mkhonta-Simelane, Health Minister Mduduzi Matsebula, appointed Senator Stukie Motsa, Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini and Principal Secretary(PS) Khanya Mabuza.
