MBABANE:Prince Mabandla, the former Prime Minister and now Advisor King Mswati says, he left the Cabinet Offices last week without sharing any advice with the current PM Russell Mmiso Dlamini as the PM was speaking nonstop.

Prince Mabandla and the current PM come from the Royal House of the late King Mswati II, Russell Dlamini is fourth(4th) Prime Minister to be appointed from the House of Mswati II, others include Obed Dlamini, Prince Mbilini and Prince Mabandla.

The Liqoqo King’s Advisory Council member had a conversation with editor Zweli Martin Dlamini on Wednesday afternoon and, the editor then asked him what advice he shared with PM Russell Dlamini after their meeting last week.

Prince Mabandla said despite being invited by the current PM, he was not given an opportunity to speak and share his experience as a former PM

but instead,it was Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini who was addressing him.

“Kute nalobongakusho lapha MtfwaneNkhosi ngoba nawubitiwe bese lo-Ndvunankhulu lokubitile sekukhuluma yena kakhulu, wena ubese uyathula nje uyalalela ngoba phela ubitiwe(meaning: I was invited and it was the Prime Minister who was speaking nonstop and I had to sit down and listen to him)”, said the former Prime Minister now King’s Advisor.

As the conversation between Prince Mabandla and the editor was light conversation, the editor then asked if this could be published as a story and, the former Prime Minister said “he doesn’t have a problem with the editor publishing what he said as he did not share any advice with the PM”.

Prince Mabandla once fled to exile amid persecution by a powerful royal faction led by the late Prince Mfanasibili, this was after the death of King Sobhuza and the subsequent scramble for the Throne that erupted.

On another note, Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini has been consistently accused of being arrogant and failing to take advice even from Cabinet Ministers on matters under their Portfolio.
