MBABANE: Assistant Superintendent Jabulani Madlopha, the senior police Officer who was promoted Manzini Police Station to the Mbabane Headquarters after shooting police protesting teachers in 2018 has embarked in a mission to threaten eMaswati who express themselves on Facebook.

Madlopha, a member of the Tingculungculu police investigation unit that specialize in torturing and killing political activist was working with the late Deputy National Commissioner Sam Mthembu who allegedly tortured and killed PUDEMO member Sipho Jele merry for wearing a t-shirt belonging to his political organisation.

On Sunday after this Swaziland News published a corruption story involving former National Commissioner Isaac Magagula’s son Mduduzi Magagula who conned a woman vendor E5000.00 promising her a job in the police service, Madlopha was hard at 'work' on Facebook threatening those who commented.

A former police officer who commented on the story of Senator Magagula and his son told this Swaziland News that she was angered by the conduct of the senior police officer.

“We know each other as I am a former police officer, I left the police service because if you don’t sleep with the superiors, you don’t get any promotion. I was commenting on the story because  as a former police officer I know the corruption in that institution that was highlighted in that story so Madlopha was angered to see my comments. Madlopha was based at Manzini Police Station, but after shooting protesters he was promoted and is now working at the Mbabane Headquarters" said the former police officer.

Assistant Superintendent Jabulani Madlopha joined the fast lane and avoided questions from this publication when asked why he was thretening members of the public on Facebook.

Reached for comments, Mbongwa Dlamini, the President of the Swaziland National Association of Teachers(SNAT) they were fully aware that Jabulani Madlopha was promoted after shooting teachers at SNAT Centre.

“The problem here is that we will never  have a clean police service that rewards excellency by promoting hard working individuals, police officers are promoted after committing crimes and protecting corruption. Madlopha is a criminal who was supposed to be arrested after shooting teachers” said the SNAT President.
