MBABANE:Sergeant Dumsile Khumalo,the Secretary General of the Royal Eswatini Police Service Staff Association(REPOSA) has announced that, junior police officers have joined the Public Sector Unions(PSUs) in an effort to amplify their voices demanding a salary increment.
In a press statement sent to this Swaziland News, the Police Staff Association further congratulated firefighters and workers of the Ministry of Home Affairs for reaching an agreement with Government on the payment of their long overdue overtime allowances.
Sergeant Khumalo said, they held their first meeting with the PSUs and another meeting will be held next week.
Senior Superintendent Phindile Vilakati, the Police Spokesperson who is vigorously opposed to the fight by junior cops for a salary increament, declined to comment about the matter.
The REPOSA Secretary General then appealed for unity among trade unions in the fight for salary increment and better working conditions.
