R1.7billion budget for the army debated, to be passed by Senators amid shortage of drugs in public hospitals.

LOBAMBA:Foreign Minister Pholile Dlamini-Shakantu presented a R1.7billion budget before Senate on Friday afternoon including an extra R50million for capital projects.

The budget is highly expected to be approved by Parliament,Foreign Minister Shakantu was with Defense Principal Secretary(PS) Prince Sicalo when presenting the budget.

Eswatini is facing shortage of drugs in public hospitals amid Government failure to provide resources for the Ministry of Health.

The health crisis was escalated by rampant corruption in the public administration.
