MANKAYANE:Prince MfanaweNkhosi of the Mgazini Royal Kraal says, he was surprised when Mankayane National Court President Luke Mavimbela warned him not to speak to Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini regarding the ongoing forceful grabbing of land from poor widows and orphans by his brother Chief Prince Sicunusa.
Speaking to this Swaziland News, MfanaweNkhosi, the son of the late Chief Prince Hhobohhobo said, they held a meeting at the Ndabazantu Offices last week to discuss the ongoing land grabbing but the agenda changed to be about the editor.
Prince MfanaweNkhosi has been vocal defending orphans and widows at Mgazini while condemning his brother Prince Sicunusa.
“Instead of addressing the concerns of the residents at Magazini, the agenda of the meeting changed, Ndazabantu was consistently warning me not to speak to Zwemart. Vele nasekungetulu kwemandla ngiyambikela Zwemart because as uMphakatsi we have been warning the Chief to stop grabbing and selling land belonging to the poor,”said the Mgazini Prince.
Mankayane National Court President Luke Mavimbela had not responded at the time of compiling this report and, efforts to reach Chief Prince Sicunusa were unsuccessful.
Magazini residents are complaining about their Chief who “has been allegedly grabbing land from orphans and widows, the matter was widely reported by this Swaziland News”.
