BUSELENI: Residents of Buseleni under Khwene Inkhundla burned the home of a suspect implicated in the disappearance of two two children who went missing during the Incwala ritual ceremony.
Sam Ngwenya, the owner of the home was assisted by senior police officers to escape to South Africa after a woman within the area confessed that she was instructed to lure the kids with sweets and hand them over to Ngwenya who subsequently disappeared with them. The home of the suspect was burned on Monday afternoon, an elderly woman who was also found within the premises was heavily beaten by the residents, she was later rushed to Hlathikhulu hospital in a critical condition.
Reached for comments by this Swaziland News on Monday evening, Vulimpompi Nhleko, the Nkhwene Member of Parliament(MP), confirmed the incident adding that the residents burned everything within the home of the suspect.
“As we speak I am here within the premises of the suspect, everything have been burned and this include a tractor, a van, five houses. Kushe kwangcongca kute lokukhona(meaning: everything was burned)” said the MP.
A resident who spoke to this Swaziland News said they decided to burn the homes of the suspects because police were refusing to arrest them.
