NKWENE:Sikhumbuzo Dlamini, the Minister of Tinkhundla who doubles as Nkwene Member of Parliament(MP) has denied unleashing police officers to harass “bo-Gogo naboMkhulu” who received food from Swaziland News editor Zweli Martin Dlamini.

This comes after the editor donated food worth ten thousand Rands(R10,000.00) to the Nkwene residents but, a police officer identified as 6086 Detective Andrew Khaba subsequently harassed the elderly allegedly acting on the instructions of the Tinkhundla Minister.

“I did not unleash police officers to harass the elderly, how can I do that because these are the very same people who are expected to vote for me?”, said the Minister.

On another note, Hlathikhulu Police Detective Andrew Khaba who was allegedly sent by the Tinkhundla Minister to harass the elderly also denied harassing them, he said he was just congratulating them for receiving food from the editor.

“I was not harassing them Nkhosi but the visit was merely meant to congratulate them,” said the Hlathikhulu Police Officer.

But the beneficiariess told this publication that, the police warned them not to report the harassment to the editor.

“Litsite leliphoyisa lakaKhaba singabese siyamtsengisa sitjela Zwemart,” said one of the beneficiaries.

The Minister previously failed to give convincing answers when questioned by this publication earlier on Tuesday morning, the editor subsequently sent a message to the Minister via his Swazi Mobile number that he uses on Whatsap but, he failed to explain, only to send an audio amid pressure from the Nkwene residents.

Eswatini has about 70% of the population living below the poverty, those in power have started to unleash the police to harass emaSwati for accepting food parcels from other generous citizens with different political views.
