MBABANE:Mvuselelo Fakudze, the President of Business Eswatini has reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to collaborate with Government in fostering economic growth and development.
Fakudze was speaking at the Royal Villas-Ezulwini on Monday during the “Business to Government Engagement”, an annual event that enables engagement between the private sector Government.
The event was graced by Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini, Commerce, Industry and Trade Minister Mancoba Khumalo and almost all corporate leaders including Chief Executive Officers(CEOs) from giant companies.
“The private sector is indeed the engine for economic growth and we are proud that we are an indispensable part of our national fiscus. It is also not lost on me that I stand on the shoulders of extraordinary presidents who came before me and contributed immensely to the success of BE. I would like therefore to pause as I honour all these giants for their leadership and devotion to BE’s age-old mandate”, he said.
The Business Eswatini President applauded the Government-private sector shared vision for economic development and prosperity for all.
”As we relaunch the SBR concept today, it is the private sector’s intention to deepen our collaboration with government and other allied social partners so that, together, we can drive our national vision forward in lockstep-hence our theme today which is dubbed: Collaborate.Innovate.Execute. As we undertake this experiment, we will count on our members, who are the lifeblood of our nation’s economy, to support the project going forward,” said the Business Eswatini President who doubles as the Standard Bank Chief Executive(CE).
