PUDEMO mourns death of South African Minister Jackson Mthembu.

MBABANE: Brian Sangweni, the Spokesperson of the People's United Democratic  Movement  (PUDEMO) said South African Minister in the Presidency Jackson  Mthembu was a true and a long time friend  of the Swazi struggle for democracy. 

In a press statement issued on Thursday on behalf of the political organisation,  the PUDEMO Spokesperson  mourned the death of Jackson  Mthembu  who died from COVID-19  related  complications earlier  on Thursday .Mthembu who died at the age of 62, was serving as South Africa\'s Minister  in the Presidency and was also  a member of the African National Congress (ANC) National  Executive Committee (NEC).

"Comrade  Jackson  will be remembered  for his unwavering  call for the democratisation  of Swaziland  through his entire  political  life. His demise  is a huge loss to the people  of Swaziland. We convey our heartfelt condolences  to his family, the  (ANC) and the entire  people  of South Africa", said the PUDEMO  Spokesperson.
