MBABANE:Peter ‘Samora’ Simelane,the SwaziMed Chief Executive Officer(CEO) has agreed to allow a forensic investigation amid allegations of corruption within the country’s largest medical scheme.
This is contained in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Business Eswatini Vice President Muzi Siyaya and the SwaziMed CEO on Tuesday, both parties agreed to postpone litigation pending investigations and negotiations on other issues.
“Eswatini Med will commission a forensic audit, the scope of the audit will be finalised during negotiations”, reads the MoU in part.
Reached for comments by this Swaziland News on Tuesday evening, the SwaziMed CEO confirmed that, after the signing of the MoU,the litigation has been postponed.
