LOBAMBA:Savannah Maziya, the Minister of Information, Communications and Technology(ICT) has welcomed the decision by Parliament to appoint a Select Committee tasked with investigating the retrenchment at the Eswatini Post and Telecommunications Corporation(EPTC).
Speaking in Parliament, the Minister said as a Ministry, they remain open to be scrutinized by Parliament as everything is transparent, adding that, to the best of her knowledge, “the reported retrenchment within the State owned company is part of restructuring” to ensure that the entity remain financially independent”. She said, the retrenched employees were temporary employed for specific jobs and their contracts ended after the completion of the projects.
